Free Snowman Crochet Pattern

Merry Christmas Happy Crocheters!!

It’s that time of year again were most of us are quickly trying to get some lovely crochet presents together for family and friends. Well I have a free and quick snowman crochet pattern for you to have. Each snowman shown above took about 3 hours to complete and with the exception of white/cream, black and orange wool you can use whatever colours you like (it’s a bit late now to run out to get some supplies).

This Free Snowman Crochet Pattern is a much smaller version of the one I made last year for my mum, which she loves to bits! The one I did last year was way too big and time consuming to crochet a lot so i have made this quick pattern for you guys.

The snowmen each measure around 20cm in height and are quick to put together. Once I crocheted the first snowman I did a little production line for the rest, so I sat one night just crocheting the heads and so on.

Anyway below is the link to the pattern, I have revamped the design and layout of my crochet patterns, and thisย Free Snowman Crochet Pattern is the first I have released in the new format so I would really appreciate any feedback you have.

  1. cute!
feedback, you might want to add this website link and ravelry if you have one, to the page. i personally use rav to keep track of what i make and notes if i have them and pics of projects. then i also save it all to pinterest on what i make using the website from the pattern and rav sometimes! i like to be able to click on a link to get back to the website instead of having to google it, etc!
also, please use dark black ink. for those of us with eye issues and not being able to see very well, it helps to have patterns in the black ink! ๐Ÿ™‚
good luck and thanks for the pattern! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Cindy, I have published a lower quality version of the pattern now that is much more readable for you, thank you for your feedback ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Thank you very much for this pattern Was looking for a cute snowman for this Christmas and I just love it One question ? As the body is rounded what do you do so that the snowman will stand up and not roll over I would appreciate any help Thank you

    1. As the initial set of SC increases on the body lies flat I simply made sure I adjusted the stuffing tight to make sure ot would fit – but I did consider putting a jam jar lid or something in there before stuffing it as it is more an ornament so wouldn’t be cuddled or washed, but in the end I didn’t need anything like that. Hope this helps.

      1. Yes Thank you very much I just love this snowman and have made several of them I am using larger hook and trying to make bigger ones I thing the idea of a jar lid (for example baby food jar lid) so my friends can display them Again thank you for the response and the beautiful pattern

  3. Hi โ— Made a cute Snowman and would love to show you .Where can I send you a photo please ? Thank you for sharing the pattern.๐Ÿ’œ

  4. I would like to thank you for sharing the cute little snowman pattern. I love it! I see that a few people have asked about standing them up for display. I used a plastic canvas 3inch circle and I used a stone from my garden. You could also use marbles or the pretty stones some put around plants, i can get them at our local $ store. Thanks again for sharing.
